There is so much to consider before starting a business and so much to do in order to launch a service.
I am hesitant to set a deadline for launching. Mostly because my time to work on this is so limited right now.
As I’ve said before I have a full time job designing at a marketing agency. Aside from that I am a single mother to a 3 year old girl. And although her daddy is a rock start and helps out a ton, there’s so much that eats up any time I have left in each day.

A few years back a friend and I started a non profit organization that had zero success and died over the course of its first year. The reason for its failure was very simple.
We didn’t know where the money was going to come from.
Our idea was sweet and altruistic, but we did’t have the know-how to raise money when there is nothing to sell.

When I started with this idea it never occur to me that naming a business could be so complicated. In hind sight I came to this with unrealistic expectations. I picked the first name I found a .com domain available for and called it quits for a while.

Anne is coming as Marketing Director. To start she will be running our social media accounts, plus joining me here at Starting Picsea to share her part in this experience.

We do! It’s pretty simple. But after trying a few options this one really spoke to me and what I want to communicate.
Being a graphic designer comes handy when starting up. There are graphic designers with more talent than me for sure. And it isn’t easy to slow down and design when there are so many other things to think about in terms of starting a business. But I love the idea of creating this baby on my own, and it is certainly saving me a lot of money! Continue reading “We have a logo.”
Hello again! If you read the last post you are probably wondering what is this business all about.
So you need the elevator pitch. And I don’t have one.
Elevator pitches aren’t easy. And I am not a writer. English isn’t even my first language.
But here it goes.
